We are thrilled to see many new faces in our community! Alephium community channels have recently grown tremendously, and we thought it might be a good time to write a little community guide to ensure everyone knows where to find the informations they need & navigate our various channels.
Discord
Alephium’s Discord is the comprehensive community hub with channels for everyone from developers, miners, traders, regular lounge discussion and various language groups. Alephium’s Discord is the main forum for you to engage with the community!
Telegram channels
Our global Telegram group makes it easy to stay updated or enjoying casual conversations! We have terrific community mods in there, and they are crazy helpful for newcomers & tech-savvy users alike.
The main channel is Alephium Group, it’s the official English channel.
If you prefer only receiving our updates without the community discussion side of things, you can just subscribe to the Alephium Announcements Channel** **, it will allow you to stay up to date.
There are numerous Community channels too! These are run by the community (not by us), but they might be of interest to some of you!

Reddit & YouTube
Reddit has a very lively crypto community! Alephium is present there, with a small but active community. Our Youtube channel is where you’ll find tutorials, podcasts, dev workshops, recorded twitter spaces & AMAs!
For example find the tutorial on how to use the bridge on Youtube (as a video), and on Medium (as text).
For devs
Github is the beating heart of Alephium’s developement! As everything is open-source, you can follow the development of any component of the protocol. And contribute too!
The docs give you access to the documentation produced by the team, on a wide range of topics.

Who is in the channels?
The Alephium community spans the world. Even if they care about different things each one plays an important role for the success of the Alephium mission: A scalable, secure and Decentralized Blockchain for All.
The core-contributors
All the core contributors are doxxed (and you can find them on the website & on Linkedin) and actively participating in our channels! From the obvious ones managing coms & community management, to the core devs, front-end devs or backend infra devs, everyone is there, accessible & active in front & with the whole community. (find them with their role!)
New Members
Newcomers are welcomed into a community focused on sharing Alephium’s values and all the latest developments and exciting features! You tend to find them in Telegram and in the lounge on Discord. If you want to start getting a feeling of what Alephium is about, head here.
Miners
Miners play an important role in Alephium’s infrastructure. Some build and run pools too, others solomine or mine through pools. Some manage nodes too, enhancing the network’s decentralization, but all contribute to keeping the network running secure with their hashrate! Find them in the Mining channels on Discord and on Telegram.
Developers
A growing developer community is exploring ways to integrate new dApps using Alephium’s features, and they count on the help of core contributors to ensure their ideas become reality! You can see their exchanges in the developer channel on Discord, and in the ballet of commits and PR requests on Github!
Community Moderators
Alephium’s long-standing members, including early supporters and developers, bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the community. They man the channels 24/7, answering an endless stream of requests with class, knowledge and humor! They also have to moderate scams, abuse of all sorts & sometimes impatient community members. You’ll recognize them by their community mod roles on Discord.
DAO members
Some of our longtime & most active community members have organized themselves into the Blockflow Alliance DAO and provide above and beyond levels of engagement for translation, financing of community initiatives, grassroots marketing and global outreach! Find them in their DAO channel, make a proposal in the suggestion channel or follow them on twitter!
Token Hodlers & traders
They share their insights on the relevant channels and help to push Alephium’s ecosystem further! You can find them in the trading channel on Discord or in the Price group on Telegram. Even NFT enthusiasts get their own channel on Discord, and many collections you can find on deadrare.io.
